How to specify the author when copying messages

Select a source.

Select a destination.

In “Forwarding Settings”, scroll down.

Find the “Author” setting and go to it.

You must select one of the style options for transmitting the name of the message author.

When you select the “name” option, the destination chat will receive messages from the source with the original author’s name.

With the “name” option enabled, we see that the author’s name has been added to the beginning of the message. By clicking on it, we can go to the user’s profile.

When you select the “username” option, messages from the source chat will be sent to the destination chat with @username.

With the “username” option enabled, we see that the author’s name has been added to the beginning of the message. By clicking on it, we can go to the user’s profile.

When you select the “full” option, messages from the source chat will be sent to the destination chat with both the name and @username.

With the “full” option enabled, we see that the author’s name and @username have been added to the beginning of the message. By clicking on them, we can go to the user’s profile.

When selecting the “full_except_bot” option, the message to the destination chat will come from the source chat with both the name and @username specified, for all messages except those sent by @junction_bot itself.

Selecting the “none” option resets all author settings.
