Step-by-step guide

Open your chat with Junction Bot and click on Menu.

Select a source.

Select  destination.

Find the setting Source name: none.

The bold option allows you to add the source name.

The "Back to the Prairie" destination comes with the source name "Test_JB" at the top of the message.

When the from_only option is selected, messages from the source will be sent to the destination chat with the original source name, but only if the message is a forward from another channel to the source.

Let's look at the use of this option using 3 chats as an example. The message from "Test_JB0" is forwarded to "Test_JB", and from there to "Back to Prairie". We see that the final destination of "Back to Prairie" reflects the name of the original source - "Test_JB0". This is exactly what the from_only option does.

When you select the id option, the destination chat will display the message id from the source.

We see that the destination message “Back to the Prairie” displays the message id from the source “Test_JB”.

When you select the date option, the destination chat will receive messages with the date.

We see that the message in “Back to the Prairie” destination is displayed with the publication date in “Test_JB” source.

Selecting the none option resets all source name settings.
